Good morning,

Thanks in advance for helping to publicize the Perkins Fiscal Year 2015 Skill Standards-Based Curriculum Development Project grants to the appropriate TCCIA listservs.  Several colleges have applied by the original deadline and been approved to pursue the project deliverables.  However, there are still some funds available.  Therefore, we are extending the deadline to Monday, January 26, 2015.  Will you please post the following message to your listservs or websites notifying your members of the extension:

DEADLINE FOR PERKINS SKILL STANDARDS-BASED CURRICULUM DEVELOPMENT PROJECT GRANTS (TYPES 1 AND 3 ONLY) EXTENDED UNTIL  JANUARY 26, 2015.

If you didn’t get a chance to apply for the Fiscal Year 2015 Skill Standards-Based Curriculum Development Project grants, there are still funds available.  These projects provide deliverables-based funding to offset colleges’ costs to integrate skill standards into curriculum and receive Texas Skill Standards Board (TSSB) Program Recognition.  (Detailed budgets and cost accounting are not required for these grants.)

If interested, you must apply to compete for a Type 1 or 3 project.  Please see the attached publicity flyer and Request for Applications (RFA) for more information.  The application deadline has been extended to Monday, January 26, 2015, and projects must be completed by August 2015.  Applications will be reviewed, as received, and colleges approved to pursue the project deliverables, on a rolling basis, until the funds are exhausted.  For technical assistance on the application, please contact Anne Dorsey, TSSB Program Administrator, at ado...@governor.state.tx.us or 512/936-8106

Thank you,

David G. Arreguin, D.D.S.
