Subject: RFA Posting

Hello:

The Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board has approved funding for another round of Skill Standards-Based Curriculum Development Projects for Program Year 2015.  On behalf of Perkins project administrator, David Arreguin, D.D.S., Interim Dean, Division of Business, Professional and Technology Education at Del Mar College, we would like to distribute this news widely among the memberships of TACTE and TCCIA, as well as the Coordinating Board clientele on September 1.  Will you please post the announcement below, as well as the attached RFA, application forms, and flyer, to your listserv or website at your earliest convenience?  If you are no longer the appropriate person for this function, would you mind forwarding it and letting me know who is?

Thanks for your assistance,

Anne

ANNOUNCEMENT

The Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board has approved funding for Program Year 2015 Skill Standards-Based Curriculum Development Projects.  These projects provide deliverables-based funding to offset colleges’ costs to integrate skill standards into curriculum and earn Texas Skill Standards Board (TSSB) Program Recognition.  Type 2 projects, which provide $20,000 in funding, include the development of skill standards from job analysis data, as well as application for program recognition.  (Detailed budgets and cost accounting are not required for these grants.)

Colleges must apply to compete for a Type 1, 2, or 3 project.  Please see the attached publicity flyer, Request for Applications (RFA) and application forms for more information.  The applications are due Friday, October 3, 2014, and projects must be completed by August 2015.

If you have any questions about the RFA, please contact David Arreguin, D.D.S., Interim Dean, Division of Business, Professional and Technology Education at Del Mar College at darr...@delmar.edu or 361/698-1700.  For technical assistance in completing the application or on the skill standards integration process, please contact Anne Dorsey, Program Administrator, TSSB, at ado...@governor.state.tx.us or 512/936-8106
