The German Program and the International Language Lab (Southeast
Campus) wish everyone a great holiday season!

To contribute to the spirit of the holidays and to provide a window to
other cultures, we have put together a program titled Frieden auf
Erden (Peace on Earth, in German), featuring

multicultural holiday stories & traditions
arts & crafts, food, music
and reflections on the meaning of peace and mutual understanding in
bright and dark times.

New this year: the storytelling will include short illustrated
presentations carrying a message that transcends religious and
cultural differences. One of these stories, about the Christmas Truce
of 1914,
during World War I, will be presented by a member of the Historical
Reenacting Society with authentic period artifacts.

Schedule of Presentations (all at the Language Lab, Southeast Campus, Room 1120)

Monday, Dec. 5th 6:30 p.m.
Tuesday, Dec. 6th 11:00 a.m., 12:30 p.m. & 6:30 p.m.
Wednesday, Dec. 7th 12:00 p.m.

Starting December 2, visit the LANGUAGE LAB at any time to see our
German decorations & international nativities!

Check out more German Christmas traditional decorations and
international nativities at the LRC display case!
