Outside the Lines, TCC’s annual creative writing contest and
anthology. Open dates for submissions are February 1, 2012 to March 1,
2012. Current TCC student or Tulsa-area high school student can submit
for cash prizes in the contest including publication.
This year, we’ll be accepting entries in two categories: poetry and short
prose, including both fiction and creative nonfiction (such as memoir or
personal essay).
Student awards in each category are a $75 prize for first place, a $50
prize for second place, a $25 prize for third place, and honorable mention
designations. Results will be announced in late April, and an awards
reception and unveiling of the anthology will take place in the TCC Metro
Campus Student Union on the afternoon of Thursday, April 26, 2012.
Contact the TCC Metro Campus Communications Division office (MC-423)
for more information.

The Office of Global Education encourages you to consider
participating in one of our Spring / Summer 2012 Study Abroad trips
(all offered in May 2012). The benefits of participating in a study
abroad trip include the following: the opportunity to learn more about
your own culture from a different perspective and develop a firsthand
understanding of other cultures, people and places; form friendships
that will last a lifetime; increase self-confidence and to demonstrate
to prospective employers that you are internationally aware --- and it
looks really great on a résumé. All of the trips are around 8 - 17
days in duration.
