Musical Theatre Raffle Donations (donation = volunteer hours!)

Hi friends –

 

Happy New Year!  Many of our classmates are cast in this year’s musical theatre production of Beauty and the Beast which will be held at the Avo Playhouse in the Spring. I am heading up the Raffle baskets again this year.  Any donations made do count towards volunteer hours. All donations are 100% Tax deductible. Donors also get their name in the program as well as a quick feature while we raffle off baskets. If you have a personal business that you would like to feature, we would LOVE to have you! In years past we have had realtors create baskets, we’ve had restaurants, organizers, hair stylists, photographers, etc donate a gift certificate. In past years we have had direct sales business owners make complete baskets that were very popular. We have had crafters and jewelers make items in the past that have been such beautiful additions – we can make just about anything work and we truly think it is a ‘win win’.  100% of the proceeds go towards the musical theatre program. 

 

In addition to basket items – we are hoping to have basket making components donated as well (again - $10 worth – 1 hour of volunteer time)

 

Things we also need – a few new looking baskets, 2 – 4 rolls of cellophane wrap, 1 – 2 rolls of curling ribbon, basket filler (the paper crunchy stuff you can get at the dollar store is best) – we need enough for 20 – 25 baskets

 

Lastly – we would love basket ‘filler’ – if you have a ‘regift’ shelf in your closet like we do – we’d love to take things off your hands that you don’t think you will use – small things like brand new candles/ mugs/ a necklace that just wasn’t your style / still shrink wrapped kids DVDS / games / toys/accessories – I would happily take those off your hands.  Our goal is to make baskets that are stuffed full of fun for those generous enough to buy a raffle ticket. 

 

If you have anything – the best way to exchange is to bring to the front desk and put “Kate Hamernik / Musical Theatre Raffle” on it – I pop in several times a week to pick up.
