Reminder for Tomorrow: 8th Grade Field Trip to Vertical Hold

Hi Parents,

 

Just a friendly reminder that the Vertical Hold 8^th grade field trip is tomorrow from 4-6:30 pm. We still need some help with the potluck. If you are able to bring something, here is the sign-up list: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C0E4FA9AC23A7F58-vertical1

 

I’m sorry to hear that the girls’ volleyball team has a game at the same time. You are still welcome to come by for the taco bar afterward if you are able.

 

Lastly, some of you may be wondering why we are doing this field trip. The book for this unit in 8^th grade used to be Banner in the Sky, a novel about rock climbing (it is based on a true story about climbing the Matterhorn). As a result, Ms. Eddy has planned this trip for the kids for the last several years. I know that the kids no longer have to read unit books, but if your kids are looking for something to read, I remember this one being a good adventure novel.
