We have had difficulty overcoming the auto-centric outlook on our own.  With the support of highway engineers, states, and localities for 'road diets', we got changes in the Lansing area.  The administration's determination will definitely influence what happens here because funding will depend on a proposal's search not finding the words  'road  diet'  or  'lane reduction' or similar.  My observation is that the work on Lake Lansing Rd and Abbot Rd have calmed motor vehicle traffic.  Moreover,  Lansing metro isn't  Kansas City.  One size doesn't fit all.  I can see a problem with what was done during the pandemic.
