Was good to see some of you at the TCBA Christmas/ holiday party last night.  For those who missed it, I posted some pics of the party scene to Facebook here:

I was sitting at the same table as the Zhang family with their 2 daughters Alicia and Ariana.  I was hopeful that they'd be recognized with one of the awards to encourage them, especially in light of Alicia being a senior in highschool and handing the Youth Cycling Club off to her younger sister Ariana.  Alas they were recognized, but not given one of the club awards.  

I really believe that their efforts thru the TCBA Youth Cycling Club have given TCBA the much needed and sought after life-line to the future for the club and would like them to feel our deep appreciation.  Since our committee is all about advocacy, I feel that we could create our own annual award which we could give to the person or organization that has done the most to advance bicycling in the Tri-Co. region. 

So, I propose that we invite the Zhang family to our meeting on Wednesday so that we might give them the 1st award from the Advocacy Committee and treat them to dinner and treats (if we're allowed to bring them to Kelly's).  I'm hoping that TCBA Advocacy might have a bit left in our budget to pay for that or, lacking that, those present might be willing to pool our $$ to cover the cost of their dinner/ desserts/ drinks.

I didn't read far enough into your email to see your proposal. 

We probably have the funds. Up to Dale. 

I agree with your comments on the Zhang family.  Nor sure this the the appropriate recognition format. I thought Alicia is a junior.
