So I'm in Vienna where beer flows like water. They don't have much in the way of ales, but they make up for it with cheap prices. All this for 12 euro. Samiclaus here is 2 euro (about $2.40)!

I hear ya Mitch. We were in France two years ago and had many fine Euro lagers, but there weren't many other options. A couple years prior to that we were in Ireland and the only beer options were Guinness, Murphy's or Bud. Very disappointing. Every brewer in our group can brew a better stout than Guinness.
We are lucky to have so many good beer options in the USA. You should be able to find some good Belgians, but otherwise varieties can be limited. No matter, you won't dehydrate I am sure. Enjoy. Cheers.
