Hello,

I new version of the TBS plug-in for PmWiki is just available since today.

But I'm also about to close a beta version of a new TBS plug-in for another CMS.
It is a plug-in that allow to insert TBS dynamic content inside a Joomla article.
Joomla is a well known CMS.

The plug-in works for Joomla 1.5 and higher, and will be also available for Joomla 1.0.
Since the plug-in is installed and activated in a Joomla website, you can add 3 types of {tbs} tags in articles:

(1): {tbs}block=...;base=...;sql=...{tbs}
This is the simplest tag.
This type of tag takes the article as a TBS template and makes a $TBS->MergeBlock($block,'mysql',$sql) over it.
It assumes that the current article contains a TBS block with the corresponding name.
The SQL is executed in the Joomla database by default, but you can change the database with parameter "base".
This type of tag is disabled by default. Options are: "disabled", "enabled for Select SQL only",  "enabled for all SQL".

(2): {tbs}script=...{/tbs}
This is the more agile and secure tag.
This type of tag is the same as the previous one, but instead of doing a MergeBlock() it run the specified PHP script which is supposed to manage the merging.
This type of tag is always enabled because the security can be managed in the PHP script.

(3): {tbs}embedded{/tbs}
This is  a more customized tag, but very dangerous. Maybe I should not make it.
It is the same as the previous one, but the PHP script is directly coded in the Joomla article between "<--TBS" and "-->" tags.

You're welcome to give your appreciation and comments on this plan.
Any beta testers is also welcome.

Have a nice day,

Hi Skrol29,

As far as the Joomla plugin... it would be a bonus if the
scheme could allow for using 3rd-party db connectors also

I use ezSQL under TBS (using your ezSQL database
connectivity plug-in) and it would be great if the Joomla
Plugin scheme could allow for something like that.

Thanks for TBS,
TomH

Hi Tom,

It will not allow it just like TBS does.

Hello,

Here is the Joomla plugin "Dynamic Articles with TBS", this is a beta version.
Is is ready to install, and contains a small help file.
It's better to read the small help file because few things have changed.
The plugin is available only for Joomla 1.5.

All comments and suggestions are welcome.

Enjoy,
