From Deanna Frazee:

I am so sorry that I have not gotten back to you about our library's LEGO Day plans.  December was challenging with too many things to do.

If it's not too late for you and/or any other TBRRers, we would still love to have a railroad display at our event on Jan. 28.  It will run from 10-4.  If TBRR can do it, we can pay $350.

For me . . . That day is my mother's birthday, so I don't want to spend either the night before or after away from home.

It sounds like: Leave Austin around 6:30. Get there at 8. Set up in 2 hours. Start breakdown at 4; it should take 90 minutes or less for that small a layout. Leave before 6 (unless we have a group dinner). Get home after dark.

Deanna asked earlier > "Could you do something with a 720 sf room? "

Almost surely, especially if it is more or less square: 720 sounds like it might be 25 x 28 or so?

Which is plenty of room for a few people to set up a one-day show - and the venue has tables 8 feet long and just under 30” wide. That suggests, offhand, that filling up six tables in a rectangle, so 7.5 feet x 16 feet, might work. That would be 8 or 8.5 baseplates wide by (allowing for good borders) 18 or 18.5 long.

I'm not saying no, but I cannot say yes without thinking about it and seeing who else might be there to help with the load. Is anyone interested?

I can't do that weekend, and really don't see me having any time to do more shows until October or November.

I wish I could. But this is the same day as the Austin public library LEGO day.

And . . . it will happen again next year, on Jan. 27.
