Tri-Cities Rocketeers Launch

Pasco, WA

We would like to welcome you and your family to the first Blue Mountain Rocketeers' (BMR) launch of the season, MudRoc<http://www.bmr615.org/mud_roc.htm> (so named because of the traditional weather). This is a one-day launch activity. It is free and open to the public. Even if you do not have a rocket to fly, join us and fly one from the Team Battelle "Lending Library" of rockets. We still have free engines for flyers, and we welcome rocketeers of all ages to join us.
We plan to hold our first nationally sanctioned rocket events at this meet. The events are: 1) Set Duration: trying to get as close as possible to 50 seconds total flight time, 2) Egg-lofting high altitude (D, E, and F motors) and 3) Open Spot Landing: trying to land on a precise spot.
Activities are weather dependent, so the Tri-Cities Rocketeers plan to host a backup location for the competition in case of inclement weather at a local launch in north Pasco the following weekend, March 24. A weather decision will be made by noon Thursday.<http://bmr615.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=events&action=display&thread=244&page=1> We hope you will join us at one or both launches for family fun and science.
