All,

Just a reminder about the build night tomorrow (Tuesday 21 Feb) at 6pm at the Richland Public library and the local launch this weekend the 25th in north Pasco starting at 9am.

This will be the last build night sponsored solely by Team Battelle Rocket Science for Families. After this, we are turning over control of the build nights and much of the community rocket activity to the newly formed Tri-Cities Rocketeers (TCR)! We're happy for this great new development that Team Battelle can support.

Here are some updates about the build night:

1. We have plenty of Courier Egg-Lofter rocket kits left if anyone would like to join the competition group. If you want to step up your rocket building skills a notch, sign up for our competition build and launch an egg payload hundreds of feet into the air at our competition launch in March.
2. We are pleased to announce that TCR is partnering with Adventures Underground (http://www.advunderground.com/) who will have a representative there selling rockets and rocket engines. We are looking forward to lots of fun partnering with them in the future.
3. If you built an Alpha rocket at the competition build last month and didn't complete it, or if you just want to build an Alpha instead of an egg-lofter, Pat Struthers has expanded the competition build to include Alpha builders, too. Bring your own, or buy one at cost from us.

We hope you will be able to join us Tuesday night. Also, please remember that we will have our next local launch on the Saturday the 25th in north Pasco. This is going to be our inaugural launch as TCR, and it is at a new location with over 1,000 acres of land. Very cool. Here are the promised details:

This launch site will have a porta-potty, a fire pit, and a vendor (Adventures Underground) selling engines and rocket kits. Bring your own hotdogs and marshmallows to roast. TCR will provide S'Mores! TCR has been generously given a new (to us) launch control system (on long-term loan from our sister organization, the Blue Mountain Rocketeers) to use at our future launches. This is a high quality launch system that more than triples our capacity. Thank you BMR!

We hope you can join us for these fun and educational activities. We look forward to flying with you all year round.

Glenn
