Hi, all,

We are gearing up for the first big rocket launch of the season in Dayton this coming weekend. Here are some links with more information:

About this month's launch: http://www.bmr615.org/missile_mayhem.htm

Directions to the site: http://www.bmr615.org/launch_site_info.htm. The launch site is 1 to 1.5 hrs travel from Tri-Cities, depending on where you start from ; ).

A port-a-potty is onsite, and we will have a food vendor offering basic hot dog and hamburger type fare with reasonable prices. Unfortunately, our rocket vendor cannot make it, so be sure to have enough supplies with you. Wear comfortable shoes suitable for uneven terrain and field conditions. Camping chairs, sunhats, sunscreen, and light jackets for cool mornings/evenings are also helpful. Also bring plenty of drinking water. Food and water are also available in Dayton, about five minutes south of the launch site.

We have loaner rockets that you can fly, and we do still have some donated C motors left. Rockets and motors are available locally at Hobby Lobby, Hobbytown, and Adventures Underground. If you have any questions about what to buy, you are welcome to email me at wtmcas...@gmail.com and ask.

So far the weather for the launch site looks good for this weekend. We will be heading out to the launch site at 4pm Thursday afternoon and will not have net or phone service, so if you have any questions, please contact us before Thursday afternoon!

When you arrive, look for our RV near the gate. Hopefully we will have the Battelle banner on the windshield. We will be available all weekend to help people prepare, launch, fix, and retrieve rockets.

Thanks,
Sherrill Fink
