Dear Fellow Brothers & Sisters in the Dhamma,
Namo Buddhaya
Buddhist Leaders would now be aware of the future trends of Buddhism in Malaysia, especially in the light of a recently published PEW Research report.
The need for Inspiring Dhamma Leaders has become critical.
To this end TBCM is organising a series of leadership enabling programs in the coming months with current and future leaders in mind.
TBCM has been working with an experienced and well known Corporate facilitator, Bro Tan Huat Chye, who is the Partner and Principal Consultant of THC Consulting Sdn. Bhd – a Malaysian-based Organisational Development consulting outfit, to come up with the "Great Leadership Awakening with Dhamma" [G.L.A.D.].
GLAD is a 4 module 1-day (per module) inspirational leadership program for Buddhist Leaders. The Program is especially designed to transform one to be an Inspiring Dhamma Leader. The proposed program modules based on the Dhammapada Verse 182 are designed specifically to help new and existing Buddhist Leaders/Workers to be more inspired and effective at what they are expected to do - Dhammaduta. Each module builds upon the lessons from previous modules. Attendance of all modules is critical to the success of the GLAD program.
The GLAD program will be held in Subang Jaya Buddhist Association, Selangor over the following Saturdays, viz.
Module 1 10th Oct.*
Module 2 24th Oct.*
Module 3 31st Oct.*
Module 4 14th Nov.*
* The dates have been revised from an earlier announcement due to changes to Bro Tan Huat Chye's busy overseas schedule. Any inconvenience caused is regretted.
Its outline and details are as per the brochure attached herewith.
The GLAD program only accepts up to 20 participants, so please select committed and dedicated Dhamma Leaders and future Leaders from your organisation and send in your duly-filled registration form by e-mail or mail/deliver the dully filled and Organisationally approved applications to our Secretariat (email and address below) as soon as possible. Approval will be on a first come first served basis.
Application closes on Friday 2nd Oct 2015 or whenever the maximum participants have been reached. Questions and any request for assistance may be emailed to TBCM's Secretariat at the email address below.
Important Note: The GLAD Program consists 4 Modules. All participants Must attend ALL 4 Modules to complete the program. Although the Program is FREE to TBCM members, participating Organisations will be charged RM250 per absent (any one or more Modules) participant. No Substitute participants are permitted.
