I'd appreciate if you could distribute the attached volunteer registration form to club members to register volunteers, particularly line judges. Looks like there would be about 350 players, not 250 as we originally estimated, at the championships. This implies that we need help from more volunteers. Could you please distribute the volunteer form to your members and friends and encourage them to take part in this event? Thank you. We are looking to compile an initial list of line judges by the end of this month.

The Pan Am Junior championships will be held at Millennium Place, 2000 Premier Way, Sherwood Park, from July 22 to July 29. The website for the championships is www.jrpanam2012.org.

We have junior players from Caribbean, North, Central, and South America registered for the championships. We expect about 250 players 

July 21 : Practice day

July 22 - 24 : Team Events 

July 24 : Opening Ceremonies (includes a carnival)

July 25 - 29 : Individual Event Championships 

Pan Am organising committee is looking for volunteers, particularly line judges for the July 22-24 team events and July 25-29 individual events. We are looking for both junior line judges and adult line judges.

Volunteer benefits : volunteering experience, character development, opportunity to watch world class badminton, t-shirt, food, & friendship. Line judges will receive special training.

Types of volunteers: line judges, event assistance, & hospitality among others.

Can you please spread the word to your clubs and other friends interested in volunteering? Volunteer registration is mandatory. Adults and Juniors, interested in volunteering can contact me by email (vi...@athabascau.ca) for more details and registration. Thank you.
