Dear TB2J Team,

I hope this email finds you well.. I have been utilizing TB2J for calculating magnetic exchange interactions, and I sincerely appreciate the powerful tools your team has developed for the scientific community.

I am writing to kindly inquire whether TB2J currently supports the calculation of magnon spectra (spin-wave dispersion) for antiferromagnetic systems and its Chiral splitting.

If not, might this feature be planned for future releases? Or would you suggest alternative approaches (e.g., post-processing TB2J outputs with other codes) to achieve this in the meantime?

Thank you in advance for your time and expertise. I deeply value your insights and look forward to any guidance you may provide.

Best regards!

Hello,
The feature of AFM magnon will be available likely in the next month. The chirality is not developed within TB2J. It is indeed a very interesting feature but the development of magnon is still in a early stage and the advanced features are not yet planned.
I am not aware of other codes with this feature.
Best regards,
HeXu

Dear Dr He Xu,

I hope this email finds you well!

I recently saw that a python api for magnopy was updated on the TB2J website.
May I ask if the functional update of the AFM magnon you mentioned is like this? Or are there any other updates?

Best regards,
Yu Xie

Hello,
This is not what I meant in the previous message. There is going to be a new implementation of the magnon in TB2J. magnopy is another code (and a very nice one!). But
they are both based on linear spin wave theory and should give similar (or the same) results in principle.
Best regards,
HeXu

Dear Dr He Xu,

Thank you very much for your reply!

Good news! They are all based on the linear spin wave theory.

I'm really looking forward to the update of this function from TB2J.

Recently, I've been working on a related work. If TB2J updates this function, it will be of great help. We will also cite TB2J in the paper!
Please let us know when it is updated

Best regards,
