I have in my TB a 3870112724rsegmnoittet-es.sqlite file on TB
profile\storage\permanent\chrome\idb that keeps on getting bigger and
bigger. What is that file? It doesn't seem to be anything important
since I can delete it and absolutely nothing happens in my mails or
anything else. Is it just some bloat that has no purpose?
It's bad that it keeps on getting bigger and bigger because it resides
in roaming profile and anything unnecessary that fills roaming is bad.

10MB for TB now, 11MB for Firefox. In Firefox I have a lot of plugins,
in TB only one (tbsync for syncing outlook calendars).

Agreed.
For that tb cache I have defaultpref a pref that turns global search off.
defaultPref("mailnews.database.global.indexer.enabled", false);
and locked offline downloads:
// These will disable offline downloads
lockPref("mail.server.default.offline_download", false);
lockPref("mail.server.default.autosync_offline_stores", false);
lockPref("mail.provider.enabled", false);
lockPref("mail.cloud_files.enabled", false);
Without those prefs a new user with roaming would immediately fill it
when (s)he installs TB.
