So, I just had one of those, whatdayacallem... That thing where you
slaughter a bunch of dirty, stinkin' dark elves an' then things just
make more sense. Anyway, I realized that our new pet elf got himself
summoned here like he was a monster, you guys said, and he stuck
around when he shouldn't have. And then, tha same thing happened when
them snakes got themselves summoned. So, either somethin' about this
square or tha prison in general makes it so that things stay. So, if
anybody's got stuff that they can magic up that would be handy to keep
around instead of it goin' away like usual, now's the time!

I am particularly excited about your confusing revelation. We need to
test this immediately; perhaps anything we cast on ourselves would
similarly stick around forever? Well, but summoning things, well, my
goodness. Maybe ... maybe knowing this will make those papers make
sense. But probably not. It certainly holds potential, however.

Oh, and, hmm, about you not being enlarged ...

Yeah, if anybody could magic up somethin' other than, I dunno, stuff
that would attack us, that would be a good test. Then again, I guess
I could probably get some snakes settled down an' friendly if I were
expecting 'em.

(I'd rather have that discussion at the game)

Can't Bodie summon Good creatures? Also do all spells have permanency
in this area? We should see if the door auto unlocks itself if we try
to close it or something. Magic really isn't my specialty.

Well, speaking as someone who, in some sense, you know, knows quite a
bit about magic, even if I am not so good with using it yet ... we can
definitely create some non-attacking-stuff. I will have to take a
little gander at this lovely book Jobe procured for me ... hold on
just a moment ...

Hmm, an invisible servant who ... no, no, that could definitely go
wrong. Ah, a floating disk! This can work. I think I can cast
this. Let me give it a shot ... get ready to smash a floating disk if
it goes rogue. Maybe I could create some dancing lights to try to
deal with that two-dimensional threat ... oh no, what if we had enemy
light-agents, as well? The lantern archons could probably handle
them, though. Worth a shot.

I don't think I can summon anything yet. I'm still learning. But it
really seems like a bad idea, because yeah, from what i know of those
spells the only thing that keeps the creature acting on your behalf is
the spell itself. So if the spell wears off and the creature stays,
then it can do what it wants. And it'll probably be angry that it's
now stuck in a super prison.

The disk sounds like a good idea, though.
