So, I think we can all agree at this point that, if anything is tough
enough to send Kanatash runnin', it's pretty darn tough.
Unfortunately, this thing is sittin' right in our only way forward,
and we don't have a way back. Since that's the case, we need to come
up with ways to kill this thing that don't involve it killin' us.
Now, normally, I'd just go with my old standby of "hit it harder."
That usually seems ta work. But, hey, all of a sudden, I'm just as
good at magic as I am at fightin,' so we might not need ta get all
that close to it. If we can judge from our map just how big that room
is, I might just be able to flood it, and drown that thing... if it
needs air, I guess.
Barring that, it kinda looked like it'd be too big to fit into this
hallway that we're in, so we could just open the door and shoot stuff
at it; maybe it's stupid enough to hang around an keep tryin' to get
ta us, rather than move out of our line of fire.
Or, we could just have Orzo fight it. That might be fun ta watch.
Oh, an' this seems ta be a pretty good time ta look inta those two
bags that we found. Why, I bet we could do that between games! Why'd
I say that? "Games?"
Anyone else have a plan?
You know, if Kanatash was poisoned, I think having Orzo open the door
next time at the very least would be a good idea. Poison is not
likely to harm my good man-made-out-of-other-men, after all.
Barring that, I think opening the door, shooting magic beams at it,
and closing the door again might be a good strategy. Though we also
might end up crushed in a landslide or something if we do that.
Its sad tapping at the door makes me wonder ... was it just trying to
play?
The one bag that feels spongy in fact seems to be made of very thick
dark sponge on the inside (kind of like flexible pumice). There is a
gap in the spongy material that something small looks like it could go
into, but it is otherwise empty.
The other bag is obviously a bag of holding as it is filled with
numerous scabbarded wepaons that appear to be Masterwork quality.
Each of them has a sort of exotic craftwork and decoration that you
have come to recognize from this section of the prison.
2x longsword
2x rapier
2x Shortsword
2x Dagger
2x hand Axe
2x great sword
2x club
2x long bow
2x short bow
2x heavy Cross bow
2x light crossbow
2x 50 Arrows
2x 50 bolts
1x Spiked Chain
1x Composite longbow (for 20 strength)
1x Repeating crossbow
1x double bladed sword
1x Dire Flail
1x great axe
1x whip
1x great Club
and several odd looking metal and wooden objects that you can't
guess on the use of without a proper skill check.
Plus a note that is written in a language that nobody
understands... not even Tirris and V.I.N.C.E.N.T.
What I don't know is if I've got any magic beams for shootin'. I know
I can get fire and water, and can talk to animals... Other than that,
well, I'll have to ask the tree. Geeze, that really sounds stupid to
say out loud.
One other option that I guess we got: Vincent mentioned somethin'
about me bein' able to open a magic door to pretty much anywhere
nearby... It ain't somethin' that I've got a song for, so I guess
it's just one of those things that you can do when you're really,
really good looking. So, I guess I could just open up one of them
doors to a room past the horrible monster one, and we could all go
through. No telling what might be in that room, though.
