March 25, 2026 - NEWSLETTER

Panther Families,

This is one of my favorite times of the year as our seniors begin sharing their plans for next year. Many are announcing their next steps, and it always brings a mix of emotions – immense pride, excitement for the wide range of paths they are pursuing, and a bit of sadness as we think about them adventuring off next year. We are truly grateful to families for sharing their children with us. It is a privilege to be part of their growth and development during this important time in their lives.

A quick reminder that report cards are now available. Instructions for accessing them can be found in this week’s newsletter.

Please also mark your calendars for a schedule adjustment on Tuesday, April 14. All 11th grade students will take the ACT during the school day. To provide optimal testing conditions, only juniors will be in the building that day. Students in grades 9, 10, and 12 will work asynchronously from home.

It is going to be an amazing trimester three at Spring Lake Park High School. Please let us know if there is anything you need.

Proud to be a Panther,

Megan Jahnke

Caring Starts Here

Students at Spring Lake Park High School are gaining real-world healthcare experience through the Nursing Assistant course, part of the Opportunities in Emergency Care (OEC) program. In this hands-on, college-level course, students learn essential skills, assisting with personal care and working directly with residents during clinical placements.

By the end of the trimester, students can earn their Nursing Assistant certification - giving them a head start on healthcare careers while still in high school. Along the way, they build empathy, confidence and a deeper understanding of what it means to care for others.

"This experience has made me realize the difference I can make and how important it is to show up as my best self for my patients,” says Kendall, an 11th grader.
