The Spring Lake Park/Centennial girls hockey team won their quarterfinal game at the MNSHL Hockey Tournament. This means they are headed to the Class AA Girls Hockey Semi-Finals and possibly the State Championship Game!
The team plays Friday, February 20 at 8 p.m. at Grand Casino Arena. If they win, the Championship Game will be played Saturday, February 21 at 7 p.m.
If the team advances to the championship, we will offer a fan bus for students if there is enough interest – sign up by tomorrow for the Saturday fan bus, and we’ll keep everyone posted on the outcome of Friday’s game.
Details for Friday’s semi-final game:
- When: Friday, February 20 at 8 p.m. game start for the semi-finals
- Where: Grand Casino Arena (Map/Directions)
- Tickets: Anyone planning to attend the game needs to purchase tickets online: $13.00 (student), $20.00 (adult) – select “Class AA | Semifinal | Evening | Fri., Feb. 20”
- Bags: Bags are discouraged and Grand Casino Arena visitor guidelines including bag guidelines will be enforced.
Details for the State Championship game (if the team wins Friday):
- When: Saturday, February 21 at 7 p.m. game start
- Where: Grand Casino Arena (Map/Directions)
- Tickets: Anyone planning to attend the game needs to purchase tickets online: $13.00 (student), $20.00 (adult) – select “Championships | Sat., Feb. 21”
- Bags: Bags are discouraged and Grand Casino Arena visitor guidelines including bag guidelines will be enforced.
- Fan bus for high school students (9-12 only): The high school is offering students a fan bus to attend the State Championship game. The cost to ride the fan bus will be covered by the Panther Foundation. Fan buses will leave the high school at 6 p.m. on Saturday, February 21, and will return to Spring Lake Park High School approximately 30 minutes after the game concludes.
