Wow, I cannot believe it is the final two weeks of school.
The excitement for the Class of 2026 to graduate this Friday is palpable. The front office is filled with caps and gowns, yearbooks, cords, signs, and shirts for the senior class. It has truly been an orchestrated distribution center for the past few weeks for our seniors. Graduation will be live streamed on our YouTube channel beginning at 1 p.m. on Friday and will remain available as a recording following the event. Information can be found at SpringLakeParkSchools.org/Graduation.
A reminder that there will be no school for students in grades 9–11 on Friday, May 29 due to graduation. The last day of school for grades 9-11 is Friday, June 5.
One of my favorite parts of this time of year is noticing the moments that capture the spirit in our classrooms. Each morning, Daulton Olinger and one of his students walk past the front of the building carrying a shopping cart filled with equipment as they head to the tennis courts for Net Sports class. It is a simple moment, but one that reflects the relationships, routines, and experiences that make our school such a special place. Students are always smiling and interacting with Mr. Olinger.
As we move toward the end of the year, our classrooms continue to be filled with meaningful learning, celebrations, and opportunities for students to finish strong. Thank you for sharing your students with us. We are looking forward to celebrating these final weeks together.

Keep the learning going this summer
Summer provides opportunities for families to share in learning experiences together. We're offering some ideas to keep the learning going over the summer months. Your student's school-issued iPad can help support summer learning experiences.
- Ideas for reading and writing this summer: Look for books or articles that build on a family or child's interest or upcoming event. Set some time each day or week, find a special location, and read aloud with the whole family. Talk with your child about what is being wondered about and learned in the reading. Each family member might keep a journal or write letters to others to keep and share experiences.
- Where to find reading materials for children: Visit a public library to check out books or magazines, including electronic books and magazines you can download and read on an iPad through the Sora app. MackinVia is Spring Lake Park School's digital library. Students can log in to the app on their school-issued iPad and check out a variety of electronic books. More information is available about Sora and MackinVia in the digital toolkit under Student Online Resources.

Spring Lake Park Tower Days, June 4-6
Tower Days is back and bigger than ever, promising an action-packed weekend filled with thrilling entertainment, lively celebrations and community fun. Panther Pacers Fun Run, August 15
Help kick off the 2026 cross country season at the Panther Pacers Fun Run on Saturday, August 15 at the National Sports Center in Blaine! Students, families, alumni and community members are all invited to run, walk and connect with the Panther cross country team and coaches.
