Panther Families,
Here we are, the last day of school is this Friday, June 5. I want to thank all of you for sharing your students with us this year. I am beyond proud to be a part of their journey and grateful for the opportunity to work alongside such a supportive community.
Graduation was last week, and what an unbelievable experience it was. Our Spring Lake Park social media platforms have been sharing photos from the celebration, and each one brings a smile to my face. See below for a link to the graduation photo album. It was a wonderful way to honor the Class of 2026 and all they have accomplished.
I also want to give a shout-out to some of our athletic teams. Track and Field will be sending 10 students to the state meet this week. Our boys volleyball team will compete for the section championship on Thursday, and our boys golf team won the section title and will advance to the state tournament next week. While the school year may be ending, many of our student-athletes still have exciting competitions ahead of them.
Report cards will be available in Campus on June 11. For students who need to make up credits through summer school, classes will begin either next week or the following week. Please reach out to your student's counselor if you have any questions.
Watch for communications about the 2026-2027 school year beginning in mid-August. We'll be counting down the days until students return on Monday, August 31.
I hope you all have a wonderful summer filled with relaxation, adventure, and time with family and friends.

- Back to School Hub launches mid-August with key info and resources.
- District Services Center summer hours are June 8–August 3, Monday–Friday, 7:30 a.m.–4 p.m. - call, stop in with questions or you can also submit a question anytime online.

Technology reminders as we head into summer
iPads
- Summer plan for iPads: Students in grades 1-11 may keep their school-issued iPad over the summer as long as they are going to return to an SLP school in the fall. Kindergarten iPads will stay at school and those students will receive their iPads when they return for 1st grade in the fall. If your plans change over the summer, please update your status with the District Services Center at 763-600-5000.
- iPad replacement: Students entering 1st, 5th and 9th grade will receive a new iPad, case and charger for the 2026-2027 school year. Watch for further communications this summer for an exchange date.
- iPad wipe: Once the school year is complete, families are asked to wipe their student’s iPad. This will help make for a successful transition to the next school year. Learn more on the iPad resource hub.
Summer Screen Time: Many families wonder how to manage their child's screen time on their school or home technology (iPads, TV, Cell Phones, Computers, Gaming Systems, etc.) while still allowing them to enjoy technology this summer. It's important to find a balance between using technology and doing other activities to have a healthy and fun summer. Here are some tips to help.
Outstanding School Fees: To check if your family has any outstanding school fees and to pay for the fees, login to Campus Parent Portal and click on “Fees.”
Contact the tech team during the summer: The tech team is available for students and families Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-3 p.m. to help with iPad questions, problems and repairs. Contact the tech team by emailing techs...@district16.org or calling 763-600-5555.

Class of 2027: Free College Application Boot Camp
Planning to attend a technical college, 2-year college, or 4-year university after graduation? College Application Boot Camp is a free opportunity for incoming seniors (Class of 2027) to get personalized support with the college application process. The first session is also a great fit for students who are still exploring their post-high school options.

Mark your calendar for free sports physicals this summer
This summer, Twin Cities Orthopedics is once again offering free high school sports physicals at 10 convenient locations throughout July and August. Registration for free sports physicals opens Monday, June 15. Remember, high school sports physicals are required, and athletes in 7th – 12th grade need one every three years.

RAC MTB - mountain bike group
RAC MTB is a mountain bike group for students in the Northeast Metro for grades 6-12. The season starts in early July and there is a Try It Out event on June 7 at the Battle Creek Recreation Center. All skills levels are welcome! Check out the RAC MTB website for more information.
