Thanks man. Does anyone here could tell me which amplifier sim and which pedals (along with settings of course) use for Gilmour's sound on TH3 free or amplitube 5 (free version), or guitar rig (free version)? If yes, it would be helpful for me. And slash's sound too. There is slash tone involved in amplitube 5 but it's for paid version. That';s why i am trying some free stuff to play these musician's sounds with my guitar.
i think there are sites where musicians often share their "secret" mix of effects, string sizes, vibrato/or/not, etc to get their sounds. i often watch these videos: -guitarists it's sometimes amazing how simple the rigs are for the most famous players, and of course some are also quite complex at times. some distortion, reverb, delays, maybe some chorus/phase/flange, and voilà! then you watch Edge, Andy Summers, Robert Fripp, and many more, and it's mind blowing the layering these guys use.
As for the AMP, you are generally looking for something like a Big HiWatt - high headroom guitar amp when he then hits with either a Fuzz or the Tube Driver pedal. But honestly if you gave Gilmore any high headroom amp and his pedal board with a Strat and his fingers, it is going to sound like him.
Anyway, in the MG3 version is it possible to have a 5 string preset for e-mandolin and 5 string electric violin? Also, on the mandolin and violin the tracking stops at the d on 10th fret on the e string (d) which is typically the high on a guitar in terms of frequency. In the preset for 5 string instruments can the range be extended to include the octave above that high d on the guitar?
Would also be great to have 4 string presets for standard e-mando and e-violins.

The Post-Apocalyptic Guitar is an instrument designed for those Icelandic-sounding guitar textures and timbres. We recorded a wealth of emotional and tempo-synced phrases and created a hyper-flexible user interface. We also created both individual and easy-to-use master patches to get you through a world of sadness and zombies.
The Post-Apocalyptic Guitars comes with a large section of real-time effects. The effects are integrated in such a way that you can overlayer them on top of the guitars in real-time via keyswitches. We included Bit-Crusher, Rotator, Delay, a Wealth of custom Convolution Impulses, Reverb, Distortion, Phaser, Flanger, Screamer Distortion, and Guitar Cabinets.
You can find isolated guitar loops out there on the internet, but it can be difficult to make a random clip fit into your pre-existing song. By contrast, virtual software instruments use libraries of sampled guitar notes, playable with your MIDI keyboard within any DAW.
To help you find the guitar sounds that are right for your next hit, we compiled a list of the best free guitar VST plugins that you can download and start using in your productions today. The following software covers a wide variety of guitars: electric, acoustic, classical, lap steel, 12-strings, and non-Western stringed instruments like the Chinese moon guitar (yueqin) or the Greek bouzouki.
Ample Guitar uses modifier keys at the lower end of the MIDI keyboard range (C0-C1) to use different guitar techniques like hammer-on and pull-off, palm mute, legato slide, and more. This allows you to chain together a guitar part that sounds natural, with many of the nuances of a proper recorded performance.

Yes, it will work perfectly both with active and passive systems. If you get any feedback or noise using an active system we have the solution, it is the "Air-Pocket" transmitter holder, all you need to do is attach the transmitter to your strap, keeping it a bit further away from the guitar and noise is gone!
Our own KOMPLETE START package nets you a couple of tasty free guitar libraries alongside a wealth of other sampled instruments, synths and effects. Jazz Guitar and Rock Guitar are part of the Band collection of 13 KONTAKT libraries (which also includes basses, drums, keys and more), and both share a common scripted interface that enables adjustment of tuning and velocity response, as well as randomization of volume, velocity, pan and pitch. Plenty of sound shaping is on offer via the Tone and Pickup controls, and a variety of effects, including one-knob wah-wah, distortion, overdrive and compression modules, and master reverb, three-band graphic EQ and 11 cabinet simulations; and the Noise knob introduces fret and string noise for heightened realism. A solid option for quick and easily adaptable guitar parts.
"IR's are so important in getting a realistic feel and true response from modern guitar systems. I love that ML Sound Lab made some fantastic sounding versions of the most important cabs that I need in my palette of colors."

I'm very pleased and excited to share the 100th Free AfroDJMac Ableton Live Pack! It's been quite a journey and I am happy to have you here reading and playing with these toys! For this collection, I return to my roots as a musician, the electric guitar.
I was doing a little recording and wanted some fast palm mute plucks. I eventually got the part, but it was pretty difficult to get these rapid fire 16th notes sounding tight, even after almost 20 years of playing guitar. So I decided to create some sampled instruments to do the job.
The first thing I did was record some palm muted guitar plucks. One of the problems in sampling a guitar is that, in the real world, each pluck of the string will sound slightly different from the next. With sampled instruments, you are often triggering the exact same sample over and over again, which can sound robotic or machine gun like. So, I plucked four or five different notes four times each. I set up a Sampler instrument in Live so that each time you play a note, one of the four samples will play at random. This gives the instrument a more life like sound, which is closer to the way a guitar actually works.
The final instrument of the collection is made up of strummed chords in the Major scale. This instrument allows you to trigger a bunch of chords found in the major scale and transpose them into the key you are working. Things start sounding pretty cool as you pitch the guitar up and down a bit. There are controls for sample length, start and loop that can yield some out of this world sounds.
