Dear Friends,

Greetings of peace!

Because only three people confirmed their attendance to the next meeting (which was tentatively scheduled for June 27), do you think we should postpone this to next month?

1. If yes, please let me know which of the following dates would work best for you?

    _____ July 18 (Wednesday)
    _____ July 19 (Thursday)
    _____ July 20 (Friday)

2. We used to meet from 2-5 pm, would that still be okay with you? If not, what time would you suggest we meet instead?,

3. Any volunteers for hosting? I can take care of the refreshments, so no worry.

4. Suggested agenda--Kamustahan and updates around the circle, just to warm us up again. Perhaps I can also show you the 20-minute video "In the Light of the Crescent Moon" if most of
you have not watched it already? Other suggestions are most welcome

An update

Last June 14 (Thursday), I attended a Multi-Stakeholder's Forum on the GPH-MILF Peace Process which was held at the NASSA-CBCP Building in Intramuros. I was surprised that apart from  Fr. Ed Gariguez (Exectuvie Secretary of the National Secretariat for Social Action-CBCP), only Archbishop Tony Ledesma, and (in the afternoon) Bishop Deo Iniquez, were there to represent CBCP. What a pity that many of our leaders in the CBCP missed the chance to dialogue with the members of the GPH and the MILF Peace Panels (who were there in full force!).

Anyway, Archbishop Ledesma and I had the chance to chat about the need to promote intra-faith dialogue more broadly. He offered to give a talk (aided by his power-point material) on INTERFAITH DIALOGUE IN A SPIRIT -FILLED WORLD to a group of students in a university on July 11. He suggested that I coordinate with DLSU. I tried to get in touch with Dr. Ed Domingo, but perhaps he had changed his number because I could not reach him. I was able to contact my friend, Marco Gutang of FEU, and Marco replied immediately saying that FEU will welcome us with an audience of around 280-300 students on July 11!

I am very grateful to Marco for accommodating us! We are looking forward to an interesting afternoon with Archbishop Ledesma, and the showing of our 20-minute video "In the Light of the Crescent Moon," the message of which remains relevant today.

Once again, thank you all for your friendship and support! I look forward to hearing from you again!

Warm regards,

Marites

Dear Everyone at TayoTayoMuna Intra-Faith Dialogue Group,

Please excuse me from all activities for the next two semesters -- I am on sabbatical from teaching, but have several assignments to accomplish.

Dear Everyone,

We had a successful peace camp last May and it would be great to see you guys again. And we can have our meeting here in CFA.  How about on July 20?

Dear Fr. Vic,

Your inspiring presence will surely be missed for two semesters! But I will always take to heart your heartwarming support and words of encouragement, Fr. Vic. Thank you for being there! You and the success of your endeavors will be in my prayers.

May God bless you always!

Marites

P.S. Please keep in touch. I'm thinking of creating a Tayo-Tayo Muna group on Facebook, just to keep us all posted. I hope you will join it.

Dear Bob,

Congratulations on the successful peace camp! It was an honor and privilege to be part of it!

Thank you for offering to host our meeting on July 20th. It would be great to meet there! Archbishop Ledesma said that he will be able to join us on that day. Fr. Bert Alejo suggested that we hold it a few days earlier (on the 17th) because he might be able to join us too. I hope he will consider adjusting his schedule and extend his stay in Manila so that we can all meet on the 20th.

Will keep you posted!

Cheers!

Marites.

Hi Marites!

Thanks a lot!  Your presence in the camp is truly appreciated.

I hope to see you then.  I will be out July 17-19 so I hope July 20 will work best for everyone.

God bless!

Bob
