Ralph, did you hear our heating bills are going up again?
ConEd has kindly written to thousands of New Yorkers to inform us that our bill “is trending higher” over the last few weeks. I’m on track to pay more than double what I paid last billing cycle, along with thousands of other New Yorkers:

They also informed me that it's been unusually cold lately. You don't say! But there's one data point they left out: ConEd just decided to raise our rates in the middle of a historic cold snap.
What?! That's absurd!
ConEd thinks they can blame the cold, but it's not the weather's fault that they take 20 percent of our monthly bills in pure profit. They leave their customers to suffer through blackouts in extreme cold and use our money to lobby lawmakers so we're guaranteed to get gouged.
Our opponent receives money from the energy lobby, but Eon Huntley has pledged never to take a dime. When he’s in office, we know Eon will stand up to monopolies, fight to keep New York affordable, and push to build the publicly-owned renewable energy sources we need for a bright future.
I know it’s hard to give at a time when utility companies are jacking up the price of the barest necessities. If it helps, donate while visualizing one of the following increasingly absurd, yet satisfying, hypotheticals:
$5 - Giving the CEO of ConEd the finger
$20 - Giving BOTH fingers to the entire board of ConEd
$75 - CEO caught in Parent Trap-style mattress-adrift-on-lake prank
$100 - A resonable heating bill
Here’s to a green future where the people, not the monopolies, set the terms.
In solidarity,
Stephen from Team Eon
