This is very rude language from a state senator.

Dear Cassandra,

Eric Adams sucks. He lied and broke the law to take office. He is collaborating with the Trump administration to persecute immigrants. He is awful and has got to go.

The Governor has the power to remove our Mayor when egregious situations like this come up — but we shouldn't have to wait around for a Governor from Buffalo to make a decision about our city. That's why I just introduced a bill to give our New York City Council that power too.

Can you sign on as a cosponsor of my bill?

City Councils all over the US can directly remove a mayor. New York City should have that power. The City Council is the democratically elected representatives of the city and they should have the ability to remove the mayor! Ensuring that we can hold those who abuse power accountable has never been more important. Please sign onto my bill as a cosponsor!

And before you go please donate to my reelection campaign. Wealthy allies of the mayor have donated thousands of dollars to my opponents, but with small donations from people like you we can fight back. Can you help me hold the mayor accountable?
