Can someone describe what is going on here?

What in the world is GoTV

Why is this disparate group acting as if they're all aligned?

Why are so many disgraced so-called representatives still telling us who they're endorsing?

Why does the public even listen to these so-called representatives?

It's time for the public to realize that you are sovereign not these so-called representatives.

We need recall elections and also direct ballot initiatives.

If you don't know what that is then you have been duped by the party machines.

Look it up.

If Western States have all these powers why do we have nothing.

It's not called the Empire State for nothing. We are the subjects. The so-called representatives think they are the Empire.

Well the Empire strikes back!

Brooklyn, NY – As the May 20 Special Election for New York State Senate District 22 approaches, and Early Voting is underway, Democratic nominee Sam Sutton keeps gaining strong momentum: announcing today a growing coalition of prominent elected officials and community leaders who say he is the right choice to represent South Brooklyn’s diverse and vibrant communities in District 22. (SD 22 encompasses all or parts of Borough Park, Midwood, Madison, Homecrest, Gravesend, Gerritsen Beach, Sheepshead Bay, and Marine Park)

Sutton, a longtime nonprofit executive and respected leader within Brooklyn’s Sephardic Jewish community, is widely considered the frontrunner in the race to fill the vacant seat left by former State Senator Simcha Felder, and is competing against a Republican nominee for the position.

If elected, Sutton would make history as the first Sephardic Jewish member of the New York State Senate.

“Sam Sutton has been a fixture in our community, fighting to expand healthcare access, support working families, and uplift vulnerable New Yorkers for decades,” said Brooklyn Democratic Party Chair and Assemblymember Rodneyse Bichotte Hermelyn, who wholeheartedly endorsed Sam. “Sutton's senatorial nomination was unanimous—and for good reason. Sam is a consensus-builder, a champion for equity, and an ardent leader who brings both dedication and competence to the table.”

The Brooklyn Democratic Party overwhelmingly endorsed Sutton, following his unanimous nomination from the required quorum of Committee Members from Senate District 22 on April 17.

Sutton has also secured the support of a wide range of Democratic leaders from across the city and state, including:

“My campaign is about bringing people together,” said Sam Sutton. “I’m running to fight for equitable education, accessible healthcare, safer streets, and real support for our working and immigrant families.

Our community deserves a leader who not only understands its challenges but lives them every day—and that’s exactly the kind of leadership I will bring to Albany.”
