موريتانيا: قوات الأمن تعتقل أثنين من أعضاء حركة “كفانا” المعارضة من بينهم رئيس الحركة “يعقوب أحمد”

أدانت الشبكة العربية لمعلومات حقوق الإنسان قيام قوات الأمن باعتقال أعضاء من حركة “كفانا” الشبابية المعارضة في يوم الثلاثاء “5 أغسطس 2014″ من بينهم رئيس الحركة “يعقوب أحمد”.
وكانت السلطات الأمنية قد قامت باعتقال رئيس الحركة “يعقوب أحمد” عند ذهابه لاستبيان موقف “الداه الشين” عضو اللجنة الميدانية للحزب، والذي تم اعتقاله يوم الثلاثاء 5 أغسطس 2014، لطلب الإفراج عنه، حيث يذكر أن أحد فرق الأمن المتنقلة بمدينة “نواذيبو” شمال “موريتانيا” قد قامت في يوم الثلاثاء 5 أغسطس2014 باعتقال أحد أعضاء حركة “كفانا” وهو “الداه الشين” بسبب قيامه بكتابة عبارات مناهضة للرئيس “محمد عبد العزيز” على الجدران، والجدير بالذكر أن الاعتقال أتى في إطار حملات القمع التي يتبعها نظام الرئيس “محمد عبد العزيز” ضد المعارضة، وذلك بعد أن طالبت الحركة بإسقاطه، وتعد “حركة كفانا” بفضل نشاطاتها أحد أهم الحركات الشبابية المعارضة في موريتانيا.
وقالت الشبكة العربية “إن قيام قوات الأمن باعتقال النشطاء إنما يعد انتهاكا لحقهم في التعبير عن رأيهم، بل ويعد انتهاكا لحقهم في ممارسة العمل السياسي وأن ذلك ينبأ بعهد قمعي قادم لن يتمتع بالمبادئ الديمقراطية كما يُزعَم”.
وطالبت الشبكة العربية الجهات المعنية بضرورة الإفراج الفوري عن أعضاء “حركة كفانا”، وكل من تم اعتقاله على خلفية قضايا التعبير عن الرأي، وضمان أمنهم وسلامتهم، بل والعمل على توفير الظروف اللازمة لضمان الحقوق والحريات العامة خاصة حرية الرأي والتعبير.

Mauritania: Two Members of “Kafana” Opposition Movement, including its Head “Jacob Ahmad”, Arrested by Security Forces

The Arabic Network for Human Rights Information (ANHRI) decries the security forces’ arrest of the youth opposition movement “Kafana” members, including its head “Jacob Ahmad”, on Tuesday August 5.
The security forces arrested the head of the movement “Jacob Ahmad”, while he was going to question the status of “Al-Dah Shin”, Field Committee member of the movement, who was arrested on August 5, so as to demand his release.
On Tuesday August 5, security forces of “Nouadhibou” north “Mauritania” arrested “Al-Dah Shin”, one of “Kafana” members, on account of writing phrases, which are against President “Mohamed Abdel Aziz”, on the wall. Noticeably, the arrest came as part of the repression campaigns carried out by the regime of President “Mohamed Abdel Aziz” against the opposition. Prior to these campaigns, “Kafana” movement has been calling for the downfall of the President. Thanks to its activities, “Kafana” (Enough) movement is considered one of the most important youth opposition movements in Mauritania.
“The security forces’ detention of activists is a violation of their right to express their opinion, as well as exercising political action. Such a matter predicts the coming of a repressive era that is not characterized by the democratic principles as claimed”, ANHRI says.
ANHRI calls upon the related bodies to urgently release the members of “Kafana” members and all prisoners of conscience. It, as well, calls for ensuring their safety and security and providing the necessary conditions, so as to guarantee the public rights and freedom especially freedom of opinion and expression.
