I may be over-analyzing things again... but here goes...

The two new builds (and associated features) in Martial Power for
Fighters (Battlerager and Tempest) state:

These fighter class features are available to any
fighter who wishes to explore a different area of
expertise. You can select one of the following features
in place of the Fighter Weapon Talent class feature.

That's easily understood for a straight Fighter Class, however, can
these be applied to the Fighter multiclass (Student of the Sword)? I
ask because Student of the Sword states:

Choose either one-handed melee weapons or two-handed
melee weapons. Once per encounter as a free
action, you can add a +1 bonus to the next attack roll
you make with a weapon of that category. Whether the
attack hits or misses, you mark the target until the end
of your next turn.

My initial take is that the Battlerager and Tempest related skills are
NOT available to a Student of the Sword, and thus they would be
restricted to selecting One-Handed or Two-Handed weapons alone.

Thoughts/Feedback?

Agreed, from what you say there Student of the Sword doesn't grant them access to a build choice but those specific bonuses.

That sounds correct to me, I will try the character builder tonight and see if Wizards' app allows it.
