[on-asterisk] magic hints on Asterisk 1.4?

Is there some magic to getting hints working with Asterisk 1.4? I don't
see anything mentioned anywhere about significant changes to the hints
system yet they are not working.

When I do a "core show hints" in 1.4, all devices show as idle even
though some channels/devices are in use.

Here is an excerpt from my extensions.conf. Anyone see something
obviously wrong?

exten => 2049929531,hint,SIP/00085d0308c8x1
exten => 2049929531,1,Macro(stdextenA,SIP/00085d0308c8x1,foo)
