I tried the 2n for a client. Wasn't impressed with it. Was hi-end
residential was looking for. Too commercial. Frequent loss of connection
to the pbx too.

Hi Dave,

Gentek advice me to buy 2N. I did not buy the device. It is very expensive
.

Also there is a suggestion for Cyber Data. Does anyone use Cyber data?

I would use an analog device, and integrate it using a SIP ATA such as a
PAP2.

IMHO I would use an ATA with two analog ports .. one port for the audio
device (phone or intercom) and the other to trip the door catch.

I have deployed Cyberdata sip intercom units, good product, no drop out
issues. stick with the latest hardware revision.

can be provisioned via a configuration file, has diagnostics page and
can be remote rebooted like a polycom or cisco phone or scripted etc

tech support was good to deal with.

I am not affiliated with Cyberdata in any way.

Elliot,

I have bad experience with Cyber Data pager/ringer - Revision 2( This is the
most recent). Every 3 days, I need to restart the device.

In your scenario, where is your sip server location is it locally or hosted.
In my case all the time hosted environment and all sip devices behind the
nat.

Thanks and regards,
