Good afternoon.
I am moving a school to voip. They currently have a PA system that I can tie into using either a 3.5mm headphone jack, or RCA cables.
Is there a device that can autoanswer a SIP call, and output voice in a way that I can plug into the PA system? I'd rather not hack something together if there's a single unified device I can use to meet the need.
ThanksKev.

Sounds like you need a SIP Paging Adapter like this one:

I'de recommend the Snom PA-1 adapter
https://www.snom.com/en/products/snom-complementary-line/snom-pa1/

Had some challenges with cyberdata devices.

I cannot vouch whether Snom is better than the Cyberdata as I haven't
used Cyberdata, but a grocery chain client of ours uses the Snom day in
day out with 100% success and has survived extreme temperatures, high
humidity/moisture etc. This was connected to the existing sound system
already in place at the chain.

Cheers!

I'm not sure about the Snom PA1 reliability. I had purchased and install 5
SNOM PA-1's to be used at a location outside Dallas, TX, and for some
reason they *all* stopped working about a year after we got them. Their web
interface would hang and they would not register to SIP. It was just after
the 1 year warranty period.

They had the same firmware version (the latest).

Interestingly, I'm also running 1 Snom PA1 in another location outside
Toronto and haven't had any problems for over 1.5 years, so not sure what
to make of this.

So as of right now I'm uncertain about the reliability of the Snom PA1. I
haven't tried an RMA yet (as it was out of the warranty period), but I
think I'll give it a shot now to see what happens and if they care enough
to investigate this.
