Hi All,
I'm looking to build a simple call centre application.  What I'm looking for is a desktop application that will allow agents to sign in and out of various queues.  Also needed is CTI that will produce a screen pop to a URL upon answering a call.  This URL would be dynamic based on what line the caller came in on so I would require the ability to insert variables into the URL.

Does anyone have any suggestions on where I might start?  I've had a brief look at Vicidial... I believe i'm looking for something that's a little more streamlined. Also, this is for in inbound only.

Thanks in advance.

Cheers,
Scott

I haven't done any call centre installs with Asterisk. But how many agents
are we talking about?
The reason I ask is because if it is on one asterisk box, then it has built
in support for queues and agents just call a number in order to log in and
out of a queue. Once you need to span multiple asterisk boxes, then you have
to worry about virtual queues, etc.

Thanks for your response..

this is more of an experiment that could lead to something more, so just for a handful of agents.  i'm aware of the built in capability to handle queues through queues.conf and agents.conf but again i'm looking for the ability to login via a desktop app and produce screen pops on the agent's desktop to a dynamic url.  i know there are some free cti plugins that allow for desktop integration which is the direction i'm looking to go in... hope this clarifies things.

cheers,
scott

I have used a couple of open source packages a couple of years ago. My recommendations:

1. ViciDIAL
2. gnuDialer
3. OR Install Elastix (latest) with Call Center Edition

The web interfaces can be accessed from PCs, agent needs to be signed in to the interface and the phone. The screen on web interface changes accordingly.
