Hello!

I have 416 phone number I need to keep around. It is presently on
Rogers Home Phone and I want to move to voip. I've run asterisk on a
home server for years with said phone number bridged from the PSTN via
a SPA-3102. Can anyone recommend a voip service provider compatible
with asterisk, with reasonable prices and good voice call quality?

I've been using voip.ms for years - cheap and reliable.

Same here. Over the last 3.5 years if you average the total out I pay about
$3.25 a month.

The other advantage of voip.ms is they offer *very basic *PBX functionality
- IVR, voicemail, ring groups, forwarding, etc.

In my case, I got rid of my Asterisk box years ago and have the
functionality I need through voip.ms at no extra charge.

I should have mentioned that, yes, I do the same thing. I have a Sipura ATA
adapter, and that's it. No need for Asterisk, although you can still use it
if you want.

I also will recommend voip.ms.

Ported a bunch of numbers with them and no issues to speak of. They have 4
servers in Toronto, just check your times to them and pick the quickest one.

To wrap things up I would like to thank you all for the great
recommendation. Porting and setup was completed smoothly and voip.ms
is a great service.
