We have A2Billing in production. As a calling card application it works
very well. If you have client base where you are using hundreds of calls
at any given time, then you may want to look into more telco-grade apps.
On a platform that has about 10-15 calls at any given time on g729 codec,
A2Billing does very well. It being open source, I think its the best
calling card package out there for anyone to get into the calling card
business.
No, we have not played with the webphones... so can't comment.
Best,
Reza.

I wish there are more like yourself who can share bench marks. Our peak has
never exceeded 15 concurrent (at least not yet), but really GLAD to hear it
can handle more. Are you using g729 and what are your specs for the
hardware?
On g729 transcoding, you utilize heavy CPU even on 15 concurent calls... so
I am assuming you are doing little or no transcoding and you are probably
"can re-invite = yes" enabling, to pass the traffic back to your carrier if
you are using exclusive sip trunks.
Cheers!
Thanks for the feedback on A2billing. This Calling Card platform seems
to be the right blend of billing not only for Calling Cards but for
subscriptions as well. I have successful deployed it and do understand
that some features are not considered to be useable like the webphone.
I also notice that iax and sip protocols are used for softphones and can
be incorporated in the billing system.
Is it possible to contact you off line?
