Hello,

Does anyone know any good (or *any*) SIP softphone for Pocket PCs, handhelds, etc....(Windows OS) that supports video?

Thanks,
Bruce

No video... but then, how many cellphones have a front-facing camera?

Don't forget, Windows Mobile 6 has a built-in SIP client and works well with Asterisk.

Also, xten.de's Xpro is another alternative. But still none supports video.

To my knowledge they do not offer any trial. You can contact them and ask for one.

Many of the GSM Pocket PC Phone Edition/Windows Mobile 6 devices, including but not limited to HTC Tytn II, Ubiquio 503g, Eten X800 offer a front vga camera, as you can do a video call over UMTS/HSDPA if your carrier supports it and it is used more widely in Europe than here. There is also many non-PDA units, supporting such config.

Hmmmm. Up until today, I've considered SjLabs sip for pocket pc a best performer in this field; however, the version from the folks @ xten.de caught my attention. Would you where I can get a trial of this s/w?

And Bruce -- I'm afraid I've never come in touch w/ a phone-sip phone for pocket pc; but will be interested in wat u find.
I also believe, as someone said earlier, the lack interest from developpers is mainly dictated by the hardware avail. Today. Most [almost all] handheld devices do lack a front-facing camera.

Thanks and have a great one!

Thanks for all the feedback. I don't want to use it with a cell phone; I can use it with any hand-held. If I find anything I will let you guys know too.
