Hokkaido lies in the north of Japan.(I'm not quite clear how one lojbanizes names, so I'll just use {la xokaidos} until someone corrects me).
{la xokaidos berti lo gugdejupu} is wrong; it says that if one starts at the northernmost point of Japan, one can move northward and get to Hokkaido.
my initial idea was
{la xokaidos berti fi lo gugdejupu}, but I'm not sure the third place of {berti} applies like this; I take this to mean that Hokkaido is north of something in Japan's reference frame, but "Japan's reference frame" doesn't make much sense in the context of "north"
{la xokaidos berti ne'i lo gugdejupu} is another thought, but it seems not quite right.
Any advice, doi jbocre?
