How to Edit the Mapinfo 11 Serial Number and Access Code

If you entered an incorrect serial number or access code during the installation, or if you want to change from a non-premium license to a premium license, you can edit these numbers by following these steps:

If the Activation dialog opens when starting Mapinfo 11, select the email activation option. Once the email activation dialog opens, click the Edit button.

Enter the correct serial number and access code. Click Next only once.

This will open a dialog with a heading of: "Specify location to save Activation Request file". At that dialog, click the Back button until the "Select Activation Method" dialog is shown and select the option of "Automatic Activation (recommended)".
