I have actually built a version of my card-creator to work something like that in the past. It was based around the journeyman thing PP did one time, where you build up your own warcaster over several weeks. I had a system where it would read a configuration file and allow the user to build their warcaster by selecting from options, each of which cost points.

Adding a function to the new card creator to simply read values from a json should not be too hard, although I need to do a bit of research on doing it directly from an http request. I can look into it over the weekend if I find the time.

Bingo Card Creator was in maintenance mode for approximately 48 weeks of the year again, with two experiments done with a site redesign and incorporation of direct ability to charge credit cards (via Stripe) rather than using Paypal or Google Checkout. The experiments were, taken together, a smashing success.

Speaking of consulting: As planned, I spent less time on acquiring new clients and assorted promotional activities (conference speaking, etc), and roughly the same amount of time on the boring mechanics of scheduling and delivering engagements. I also walked my rate up a few times.

Bingo Card Creator makes bingo cards, mostly for elementary schoolteachers. It had far-and-away its best year ever, despite being in maintenance mode. This was largely driven by organic growth of the business and huge increases in conversion rates following the redesign and Stripe integrations, covered here. The differences are very apparent if you look at conversion rates for any month after May and compare it to the year previous, which is necessary since BCC traffic and sales are very heavily seasonal. Or you could, you know, just take a look at the sales graph.

Appointment Reminder does appointment reminding phone calls, text messages, and emails to customers of professional services businesses. I launched it in December of 2010, so it is just turning 2 years old right now. I go back and forth on whether I want it to be the Next Big Thing for me. Since I want to keep my options open on that score, I refrain from quoting numbers about it publicly.

Why bother doing a productized consulting offering when I have software businesses and standard consulting to keep me busy? Partially, I love trying new things and just wanted an excuse to experiment. Also, consulting is working out fantastically well, but it routinely requires me to spend multiple weeks abroad on business, and that is less and less attractive to me as I get more and more married. So if I could replace on-site consulting with a consulting-like offering that I could execute on here from Ogaki, that would be a bit of a win.

The course was eventually delayed a few times (my original estimate was two weeks of work and a three week shipping schedule, but it ended up closer to four weeks of work and an eight week shipping schedule). Nonetheless, it did successfully ship, and seems to have worked out pretty well for customers. (Amy Hoy interviewed me about the process in detail, in case you want tactical advice. I expect that interview to be up in a week or two.)

I think that, aspirationally, career/job/business/etc was never supposed to be my #1 priority, but be that as it may it sucked up a disproportionate amount of my twenties. I have no immediate plans for retiring, but will work on having my stated priorities more closely match my allocation of time and attention in the future.

I just purchased a 2021 24-inch iMac with macOS Big Sur version 11.5.2. I'm looking for an app to create greeting cards. I previously used Hallmark Card Studio, but it does not work with my new iMac. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I basically create cards for friends and family.

yes it has more card designs than you would ever want. The only issue is that they are on the Hallmark server so once in a while their server goes down and then the program will not function. The cards look very professional especially if you use heavy card stock paper. I also purchased colored envelopes from Amazon to complete any project.

Find and customize one of the millions of ready-made bingo cards, or use the simple bingo card generator to create your own. Then print as many cards as you need. You can even play virtual bingo using a computer, smartphone or tablet. It's fast and easy.

Enter the bingo title, select the size of your bingo card grid, and type your items into the squares. Whatever items you enter into the squares will be shuffled around when the bingo cards are generated.

Tip: You can put text and an image into a square. Use the text shadow to make the text "pop" against the background image. You can also change the vertical alignment of the text in the square so it does not cover the important parts of the image.

By default, when your cards are generated, the items are shuffled over the entire card. In traditional bingo, items are fixed to a certain column (and only shuffled within their respective column). To enable that, check the "Shuffle items only within their column" checkbox.

When you create your card, you can flip over a square to enter a clue/question. Whatever you enter on the back of your square will appear in the call list for your bingo game. For example, to help kids learn animal words, you might put the word "Bear" on the front of the square, and a picture of the bear on the back. When you play the game, the image of the bear will appear in the call list for your students to see. If they recognize the literal word "Bear" on their card, they would mark it.

After generating bingo cards or finding an existing bingo card, enter the number of cards you want to print, and select how many cards you want to print per page. You can print 1, 2 or 4 cards per page. Make sure you switch to landscape print mode on your printer to print 2 cards per page.

I was in a need to get creator information who actually created a card. Usually trello has actions associated with any event and that event contains the information who actually has performed that action. I was unable to find any resource to find the solution.

Back in 2002 I created an app for the board game Heroquest by Milton Bradley, which allows you to create your own cards for use in the game. It proved to be rather popular, even with fairly limited functionality.

Hi Trent! We are a family that has played Hero Quest generationally! My husband has now taught the game to our kids and they are hooked and have new ideas for their own extensions. After drawing our own cards and maps, we started looking into play card creators and found you. Can your app work on a MacOs? Or have you developed the web-platform so we can upload our own images? Please let us know!

I would love to be able to import my own graphics and export as a high res PDF. My kids recently got interested in board games, so I pulled out the old copy of Heroquest, and really want to make a few new items, as well as maybe make a Star Wars conversion.

As far as the freezing, try restarting your computer. I never had this problem when I first created this program but newer versions of windows seem to require a restart before the text fields are editable. Sorry. This program is so it, it really needs to be updated.

Fantastic tool. Though we understand you have a life, a family and a job to take care of we keep hoping you will one day surprise us with an update to your wonderful Card Creator program. Thanks for the version you still share here, not in the least your hard work & time invested in it. It has already brought us much enjoyment. Wishing you the best.

Hi, When installing the tool it hangs at the very end even though the progress bars seem to show 100%. The software is installed and can be run manually but only the Elf and Morcar card folders are installed.
