Hey all,

Happy Thursday!

For those interested, there will be several important presentations at next week's CB1 meeting.
  1. The EDC will offer updates on the North Shore Plan. While I've learned not to put my hopes up regarding the EDC, it will be interesting to see if they can provide a timeline for restoring Bank Street and reopening connections to the ferry terminal.
  2. The DOT will present on improvements for the intersections of Victory & Corson and for Narrows Road N & Fingerboard Road. For Victory/ Corson, I'll be super excited if they use the treatment they used for Victory/ Brook, which I pass by daily. It's been a huge safety improvement, adds a pocket of open space to a dense area and the community has been capitalizing on the changes by adding planters and working with an artist on some street art! For Narrows Road N and Fingerboard, almost anything would be better!
  3. The DCP will present on the Mayor's City of Yes Proposals for housing. The reaction is almost sure to be super NIMBY, but a major proponent of the proposals for us, and what excites me, are an end to mandatory parking minimums for new housing. Even if NIMBY backlash guts most of the proposals, it would still be a major win if we get an end to mandatory parking minimums through this.
The meeting is on Tuesday, 5/ 15 at St Mary's Episcopal Church, 347 Davis Ave. It starts at 6:30,

Also, as a reminder the Goethals Road North bike lane clean-up was rescheduled for this Saturday afternoon. I hope some of you can make it!

The weather should be nice, we'll have a traffic officer providing protection. I'll also bring orange vests for backup, as well as snacks and supplies.

The meet-up is at Goethals Road North/ South Avenue at noon.

For those who haven't ridden or walked over the bridge path yet, this also offers a great opportunity to do so!
