Repeatedly stalling retrieval of tasks

Hi, you asked for this to be reported. This happened to me today about 3 time, even after I switched to a stronger internet connection. I've  never experienced this with your backup application before.

Hello Lou,

I can see that the GTB background worker (which retrieves the tasks from the Google Tasks server) experienced an error several times, which is why the job stalled, but no error message was logged.

I will need to add more debugging code to try to catch the error and log a message so that I can try to determine what is causing the error.

This may take a day or two. I'll let you know what I find out.

I have been unable to replicate the problems you experienced, but I have uploaded a new version of GTB with extra logging which will hopefully provide me with more details if it happens again.

Could you please try running GTB again, with the same options that you used last time, and let me know how it goes?

I tried again yesterday (before I saw your email) and this time I did not get a “stalled” message but what happened was the export concluded way before it should have. The way I know this is that I went ahead and saved it in the same file format I usually do (from your  site’s options) and it was less than half the size it usually is.

Hello Lou,

I discovered that I had recently introduced a bug, whereby GTB was not including hidden and/or deleted tasks (if selected by the user).

I suspect that is why your most recent backup was smaller.

I have just uploaded a new version of GTB. Could you please try performing another backup including hidden and deleted, and see if you get the expected backup size.
