Hy,

i know this topic is several times discussed...

But with the latest stuff of Cygwin- and Cygwinports it's possible to
compile and run the full
tj package, that means also with the GUI.

Ok, there are some tricks and limitations to get it on the track.

I have contacted the author of this homepage:

http://wintaskjuggler.googlepages.com/

to update the instructions, at the moment it's only discribed to get
it compiled without the GUI.

If somebody is interested i can also post the details here.

best regards

Hy again,

sorry for the delayed response.

But with the "very latest" stuff
(kdelibs from 15.01.2010)
it's no longer working ! :-(

Coz the Cygwin mirrors guyz
are starting to remove the KDE3 stuff !
So, the "hunt for the old stuff" begins... :-O

But i have found a mirror which still have it,
the questions is how much longer...

Nevertheless we have to shift to KDE4/QT4
very soon.... or makes that so much sense ?

Because Chris is working on TJ III
and it's much more stronger !

Ok, the GUI is missing...

So, which effort is higher,
implementing a TJ III GUI or
porting TJ2.x to KDE4/QT4 ?

I will analyze that and maybe
Grégoire has some progress in his porting work,
here the dev-thread:
http://groups.google.com/group/taskjuggler-dev/browse_thread/thread/b6f82e36b9eecda5

Ok, please find the installation details in the attachment.

If you have any suggestions according to "IV limitations/issues left",
please let me know !

best regards

JohnZ
