Hello TaskJuggler Users!

I have been banging my head trying to get a Task Juggler installation
going.

Version 3 installation was a snap.

Installed ruby then gem install taskjuggler. what could be easier?

Unfortunately, the person who wants to use TaskJuggler wanted it
because of the GUI interface.
(And they are running Windows XP and Windows 7)

So I hunted down some windows installation instructions for Version
2.x.x. Using cygwin.
What a pain finding those packages and installing them. Some on the
list didn't even exist.
It is still downloading as I type this.

I am using Virtual Box because I didn't want to install this stuff on
my main system, as it is a trial.

I'm thinking I'm better off running TaskJuggler in a Linux VM. Ubuntu
perhaps?

If anyone who has RECENTLY installed the GUI version of TaskJuggler in
any form under Windows
XP could please point me in the right direction?

Thanks,

Rufus

Rufus,

I haven't installed TJ2 in WinXP, so unfortunately I can't offer any
help if you want to do that, however you might consider running it
under Portable Ubuntu for Windows.

I haven't actually tried this so I don't know if it would work on your
system. If you do get it to work please let us know how you get on?

Cheers

Tony
