Hello TaskJuggler community,

I'm using TaskJuggler 3.8.1 with Ruby 3.4.0 on Windows and need to generate visual Gantt charts and PERT diagrams for my project. I've been exploring different approaches and have a few questions:

1. Since xmlreport seems to be unavailable in TJ3, what's the current recommended method for generating Gantt charts and PERT diagrams?

2. I noticed tools like TJ-Pert and tjx2gantt were available for TJ2, but they require XML output. Are there equivalent tools that work with TJ3's output formats?

3. Is it possible to generate PDF outputs of Gantt charts directly from TJ3, or do I need to use intermediate formats and external tools?

I'm trying to avoid maintaining separate TJ2 installations just for visualization purposes, but I need professional-looking charts for stakeholder presentations.

Any recommendations, tools, or approaches would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you,
F.

Take a look at https://taskjuggler.org/manual-git/generating_reports_of_the_scheduled_projects.html for Gantt charts. It't really flexible and you can create whole reporting systems with it. I had one large project that had several work streams and created different views for each workstream, some detailed weekly views, other more helicopter monthly views. I hosted it so that others could view it and on the odd occasion I needed to send a hard copy to someone I just used my browser to print to pdf.
