Hi,

I have been using Freemind / Freeplane to generate .tji files with an outline task breakdown structure which I edit later with Vim. I was wanting to use the Ctrl-T calendar function in to insert dates as values of end / start attributes. I can't get either Freemind or Freeplane to insert the dates in any other format than dd/mm/yy and I would like them to be in yyyy-mm-dd format otherwise they need to be changed afterwards in Vim and it's not worth bothering in the first place.

Has anyone any ideas on this ?

Thanks in advance, William

In vim you can use

:0,$ s%\(\d\d\)/\(\d\d\)/\(\d\{4\}\)%\3-\2-\1%g

to convert all dd/mm/yyyy to yyyy-mm-dd

Good morning All,

Thank you Chris. I tried your instruction in VIM and it works fine. Personnally that will save me quite a lot of time in the initial stages of setting up a project.

Best regards, William

I use Freeplane for all my project structuring. I have not had any problems entering dates. I enter them using attributes. If freeplane does not accept the date then just add a space as the first "character"

Mas

Thanks Mas.

If I enter the dates by hand typing them in long-hand as atrribute values, then I agree it works fine. What I was wanting to do was be lazy and use the in-built calendar function Ctrl-T to generate the dates and that's where I run into problems because I can't get the internal calendar to generate dates in any other format than dd/mm/yy. Do you have any ideas on that please?

Best regards, William
