Tasker: Balloon Releases Today

Hi Emily and everyone,

The Ops Center received a question on Special Upper Air Balloon launches from AA, via PCO...  Ken needs know which offices are doing extra balloon releases today and tomorrow for Hurricane Idalia.

At 06z (2AM ET) this morning there were 15 offices (14 Southern Region and 1 Eastern Region) that performed special launches for NHC ahead of Idalia. They were:

Norman, OK (LMN)

Dallas/Ft. Worth, TX (FWD)

Shreveport, LA (SHV)

Lake Charles, LA (LCH)

New Orleans, LA (LIX)

Jackson, MS (JAN)

Birmingham, AL (BMX)

Atlanta, GA (FFC)

Tallahassee, FL (TLH)

Charleston, SC (CHS)

Jacksonville, FL (JAX)

Melbourne, FL (XMR)

Tampa, FL (TBW)

Miami, FL (MFL)

Key West, FL (KEY)
