Good Afternoon NWSOC Team,
We have an upcoming engagement with the Kentucky Governor’s office and would like to highlight the impactful work of NWS offices across the state.
Could you please compile and share any recent stats, superlatives, or notable actions/efforts from our Kentucky forecast offices? We’re particularly interested in:
Major weather events and NWS response/support + stats/numbers/figures
Significant IDSS efforts or EOC deployments
Partnerships or collaboration with state/local agencies
Any “above and beyond” examples or unique services provided
Public or media engagement wins
Please include anything that reflects positively on the role NWS has played in supporting the Commonwealth and keeping the public safe.
Appreciate your help with this—would be great to have the information by tomorrow morning (22APR), if possible.
Thanks,
Bubba--Very Respectfully,CAPT CHRIS "BUBBA" SLOANActing Deputy Chief of StaffNOAA National Weather Service1325 East-West Hwy; SSMC2, Room 18102Silver Spring, MD 20910(305) 918-2418 (Google Voice)(813) 244-6550 (WC)(904) 610-2362 (PC)"Help as many people as you can.
