Another vote for controlling WIFI Tethering

I have an extended battery for my Evo and I'm able to leave WIFI
hotspot on all day at work with battery life to spare. I use it to
give my iPad Internet access. I would love to be able to
automatically turn the hotspot on and off based on arriving and
departing work.

Tasker would be the only app of its kind to offer this feature.

I agree that this would be awsome BUT right now I think it's not
possible. right now only a wifi app can do any wifi tethering. Maybe
when Cyanogen comes out with 4G this will be possible but right now I
think Tasker won't be able to do this.

I've seen this as a widget in the market. I've been using that widget
for controlling my Nexus One's Wifi tethering.
